Problem: An error may appear during installation or after restarting notifying you that the Anti-Spyware failed to start. The Anti-Spyware option may also be missing from left hand menu.

Cause: Installation difficulties i.e. presence of conflicting applications, spyware, can prevent the Anti-Spyware engine from installing.

Solution: The Anti-Spyware engine must be reinstalled.
  1. Close AT&T Internet Security Suite by right clicking the AT&T Internet Security Suite icon in the system tray then selecting Shut down.
  2. Click My Computer and choose C: the hard drive.
  3. Click Program Files, then Common Files and choose Pest Patrol.
  4. Double click ppsdk.msi or ppsdk, whichever appears.
  5. If a menu appears with a Remove option, click it to first remove the old installation. If there is no Remove, installation will start automatically. Skip to step 7.
  6. Once the removal is complete restart the computer.
  7. Go back to the ppsdk file and click it again.
  8. If the installation doesn't start automatically, choose the Install option that appears.
